The house is in the little village of Villeseque in the Corbières region of the foothills of the Pyrenees. Villeseque is situated between the sea and the mountains, on the old merchants' route, Mercadia, which linked Narbonne with Spain in the xii th. C. At the heart of this Valley of Paradise, surrounded by the hills covered in pine forest and vineyards, set back from the bustle of the coast, Villesèque is a wine-growers' village of 350 inhabitants on the route of vineyards, Cathar castles and medieval abbeys. The house is just outside the ancient village of Villesèque des Corbières, in an enclosed 'domain' with large garden. We have two lovely rooms with views of the Hermitage of Mount St. Victor and the surrounding hills. The copious breakfasts are served either in the dining room of the house or on the shady terrace.
